Week in Review: A Week in Photos

In every spin class I go to with my spin instructor at the student fitness center, we end class with a 2.5 minute sprint. It’s like: I’ve slugged this far, and now I’ve got to get together every last bit of energy in my sore and tired legs and throw it all out there.

I’m not the first person to make the metaphor that the end of the semester is like a sprint to the finish line, but it’s the metaphor that comes to mind. I’m tired, but I can’t let up. In fact, I’ve got to double down and work harder than ever.

So I haven’t been posting a lot to the blog, and this’ll be a quick and…dirty?…that doesn’t sound right…anyway, this will be a quick ‘lil Week in Review…in photos! I just wanted to bop by and say I’m still here and kicking.

I do have plans for a number of new recipes underway, so keep your eyes peeled for those, too.

Have you ever seen Rent? Other favorite musicals?

What helps/helped you get through the “final sprint” of the semester?

  1. Rent’s a good one! I also love many others but some favorites are The Little Mermaid, Lion King, Memphis,Miss Saigon, and Phantom of the Opera

  2. I have never seen rent. I haven’t been to many musicals, so Wicked is my favorite. And I would get to the finish line by keeping busy but still finding some time to relax. The end will be here before you know it!

  3. I’m glad you popped by even with just a photo recap. Sometimes those are the most fun ones to write (or not write) and take some of the pressure off. Hang in there, the semester is almost over. Also, I’ve always wanted to see Rent so good for you.

    Happy Monday!!

I hope those legs of yours keep kicking to the finish line… legs being metaphorical for brain and sanity. The end is in sight!! No doubt this is a crazy time of year though – so focus on what you have to do and then the relaxing and time for blogging on the holidays will feel extra nice.
I always love a good photo bomb. I sure hope you could understand that to do list…
And yay to seeing Rent! Or any musical for that matter. What a treat!

  5. Keeping my fingers crossed things will go smoothly and you’ll make it to the finish line well!
Is it weird I’ve never heard of Rent before? It might just not be popular over here. I haven’t seen many musicals in my life so far, either. We’re more of a theatre play family, I guess :).

  6. Good luck with the end of term, Joyce! Also, I love your Charlie Brown shirt 🙂 we watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” around the holidays every year, along with “The Grinch” and “Rudolph,” but Charlie Brown is my favorite!
